With the rapid development of world economics, the competition between enterprises will become more violent. The Increasing globalization of world economics also enhances the competition. As enterprise sides, if they can keep exist and develop in the cruel surroundings, they will have to face more challenges. It also will request them to adapt the surroundings and comply with the speed of economics development. From the side of supply chain, enterprises must set up a set of supply chain system which fit themselves. The suppliers are the most important and indispensable node in the supply chain. The management of suppliers is key node in the management of supply chain. The success or failure to the management of suppliers will impact the whole development of supply chain directly. The suppliers classification management is one kind of strategy and method to manage the suppliers. In the increasingly shifty activity of globe economics, the cooperation with suppliers will be very frequently. Especially, as the product and manufacturing technology become more complex. The business type gap between difference suppliers are getting bigger and bigger. The current enterprise will have to face how to manage their suppliers with difference business type. Only to resolve the issue reasonably will make sure enterprises to grow up and develop smoothly.M company is a small and medium-sizes enterprise. It has been over ten years since it was created. But its development speed is so slow. Specially, M company did not take more time to research how to manage the suppliers in the past. In the background of the situation, firstly research the current situation of supplier classification management in M Company base on basic theory of supplier management. Analysis and summarize the existing issue in the practice of suppliers management. Per the issue and result, to divide the current whole suppliers of M company basically. And present the strategy to improve the supplier classification management level base on the basic dividing. If that, the inventory cost and purchasing cost will be decreased, and the efficiency of procurement also will rise by carrying out the strategy.M company is not a large-scale enterprise, but it owns the whole procedure from order receipt to shipment. So it is an epitome of the vast majority of small and medium-size enterprise. This dissertation regard M company as the object to research the supplier classification management. It makes the study owns the actively and representation practical significance.
