Research On Production Planning Management Based On Project Manufacturing In CTE Company

With the products’ delivery time shorter and shorter, the requirements of customerspersonalized higher and higher, it is necessary that order-oriented manufacturing enterprisesmust promote existing product development capacity, enhance independent innovationcapacity, transform current production management mode into project-based manufacturing（PM）, so that they can achieve new development in reasonable use of manufacturingresources, rapid response to personalized needs of customers, as well as improving productsand service quality.Created in January2005, CTE is wholly-owned Chinese subsidiary of the group, aFrench listed industrial Group, and produces turnkey industrial solutions with hightechnological content mainly in3activities: Environment, Mechanical Products and Systemsfor Defense, Nuclear, Industry and Life sciences, Energy （thermal and solar）. CTE ischanging her manufacturing mode from one sole product to multi-different types products andher customers are not only the group but also the outside customers. This change pushes thatCTE has to change her manufacturing mode quickly to adapt the customized requirementsand higher challenging situation. Planning management is the core both in manufacture andproject, so improvement of CTE’s production planning is becoming more and more urgent.At present, CTE is the typical order-oriented （make-to-order, engineering-to-order,Assemble-to order）manufacturing company, and manufacturing management based on theprojects. CTE is facing multi-projects manufacturing and resources constraints issues.Carrying out scientific project management mode is an inevitable trend. Based on thissituation, this thesis has forwarded below creative points:1. Classify CTE’s all the productsinto5typical kinds;2. To extent the definition of project-based manufacturing from not onlyfor single-piece and small batch production.3. Create one production planning system foradapting CTE current production by using project management combined with ERP methods.
