Research Of Small And Medium Sized Enterprises’ Competitiveness In Jilin Province

Jilin province put small and medium-sized enterprise economic development in animportant strategic position in revitalizing the old northeast industrial base, and has issued"the growth plan of small and medium enterprises” which stimulates a new round of rapiddevelopment for small and medium-sized enterprises. However the problems of small grossof small and medium-sized enterprise, lack of supports, poor financing ability and so on arestill outstanding issues. Therefore take the cluster development path is the best choice for thesmall and medium-sized enterprises to become bigger and stronger. Jilin Province in thesmall and medium-sized enterprise cluster started relatively late, although it has a fastincreasing rate, there is still exists some problems. Research of competitiveness of small andmedium-sized enterprise clusters in Jilin province plays an important role to guide thedevelopment of small and medium-sized enterprises cluster so as to promote the regionaleconomic development of Jilin province. This paper reviews domestic and abroad theoriesabout the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprise clusters, summarizes theresearch methods and influencing factors which are used to study competitiveness of smalland medium enterprises clusters. Then this paper draw lessons from the successful experienceof domestic and international small and medium-sized enterprise cluster development by casestudy method. This paper carefully studies the present situation of the small andmedium-sized enterprises and the small and medium-sized enterprise cluster’s developmentin Jilin province, by using location quotient, small and medium-sized business confidence,innovation ability to evaluate the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises inJilin Province. Finally, this paper uses the SWOT strategy research method to carry outoverall analysis on SME cluster’s competitiveness in Jilin Province and proposes reasonablecountermeasures and suggestions according to the research results, hoping to improve thesmall and medium-sized enterprise clusters’ competitive advantages in Jilin province andpromote the healthy and rapid development of regional economy.
