Research On Enhancing The Competitiveness Of Regional Industrial Clusters Under The Urbanization

The global economic integration is gradually deepening in the21st century, while theregional economy saliently featured by urbanization is under the competitive development. Eacheconomical entity is focusing on the adjustment of economic structure and the promotion ofindustrial level to ensure a stable economic growth in the new situation. Industrial clusters, theintermediate organization between market and enterprise, not only account for the positiveacceleration from theory aspect but also be verified by the abundant empirical evidence.Nowadays, industrial clusters have been paid great attention by the academic circles andpolicy-makers.There are numerous domestic and foreign literatures on industrial clusters and itscompetitiveness evaluation, but most of them emphasize cluster effect of specific industry orempirical research of successful cases. It is not common that the study of regional clusterspositioning and adaptive analysis with the economy. Especially, the theoretical system of clusterscompetitiveness evaluation still remains to be perfected. In addition, compared with the rapiddevelopment of the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta recently, Fujian provincewhich holds leading position of the West Coast Economic Zone is puzzling on themarginalization. It is also clear that the coastal advantage has been weakened due to the newlyinternational division-cooperation and the industrial gradient shift. Now, Fujian province ishighlighting the metropolitan construction of X-Z-Q and Fuzhou, while industry policiesemphasized on extending industrial chain and promoting industrial clusters have beenstrategically put on the agenda. Obviously, urban function positioning should be effectivelyconsidered together with the cluster policy, effectiveness and its evaluation. This article based ontraditional analysis intends to explore the relative competitiveness theory about the regionalindustrial clusters, and through the comprehensive consideration of the same cluster and thedifferent type to measure its performance. Then great effort will be concentrate on theconsideration of Fujian province.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part mainly expounds the background,significance and methods of the study. The second part firstly discusses the theory of industrialclusters and its competitiveness, then aims to set a solid foundation for possibly creative researchthrough the consideration of people’s paper. The third part discourses upon the theory exploration of regional industrial clusters, including the mutual mechanism with the regionaleconomy as well as the urbanization. This part also holds the author’s theory about the industrialcluster competitiveness based on the existing evaluation system. On the fourth part, the wholecluster status and some classic selected of Fujian province will be firstly introduced, then therespective performance of competitiveness. The fifth part attempts to consider the real problemunder the urbanization of Fujian province, and some decisions support which can effectivelypromote the industrial cluster competitiveness would be given for our society.
