Study On Chinese Landless Peasant Social Security System

Along with the acceleration of Chinese urbanization and industrialization process, a largenumber of rural land has been taken over for use, which makes our society formed a newvulnerable groups--landless peasant. As the amount of landless peasant increases ceaselessly,dimensions expands ceaselessly, if we lack of appropriate and reasonable arrangement andcompensation mechanism, this problem may become a new hidden trouble of our country’ssocial stability and harmonious. It will also affect Chinese urbanization and industrializationprocess, and even the sound and rapid development of Chinese economy. These reasons havecaused the marginalized and vague identity of landless peasants. Firstly, our country hasalways been two urban and rural economic structure, secondly, the existing land requisitionsystem is imperfect, thirdly, the mechanism for compensation lacks of sustainability, Chinahas not a sound social security system correspondingly to safeguard peasants’ rights andinterests. In addition, when peasants lost their land, the original land lost such as basic life,pension and employment and other security functions. The occurrence of these circumstances,requires that our country should establish the sustainability of social security system forlandless peasant and solves landless peasant social security problems appropriately.The paper takes the " Chinese landless peasant social security system research" as thetheme, elaborates about Chinese landless peasant and their social security current situation,analysis the problems and reasons respectively. Finally, we put forward the conception ofbuilding up the landless peasant security system, provides the basis which systemconstruction should follow and makes some suggestions to the construction and improvementof our country’s landless peasant social security system. This paper may provide academicbasis for integrating our country’s landless peasant social security system.
