Research On The Design Of Quick Response Supply Chain Of FOA Company

The financial crisis that began in2008imposed great impacts on the hotel catering industry in United States. In order to save costs, many hotels and catering companies started to timely purchase tableware and equipment in small quantities in batches, instead of big inventory in bulks, which greatly influenced the business of tableware and equipment suppliers. As an American high-end hotel tableware equipment supplier, FTA was also not spared. At present, for FOA, the procurement agent of FTA in China, how to take effective measures to help its parent company FTA to meet the new needs of customers is a very important issue.Establishing an efficient supply chain is an important solution, which optimizes operations in manufacturing, transportation, loading, and shipping processes and enables goods to be delivered to FTA U.S. distribution warehouses in the minimum time consumption without increasing its operation costs. At present, FOA is encountering problems on supplier management and freight arrangement, which weakens the company’s overall procurement capability and logistics efficiency, and affecting the customer service quality of its parent company in local United States.In view of this, this thesis focuses on the FOA supply chain management based on the combination of theoretical analysis and FOA instances, analyzing the problems of the FOA, putting forward the basic theory of quick response supply chain management. In addition, this thesis also provides an optimization solution in supplier audit and cooperation and logistics operations. It helps FOA to improve services.This thesis mainly focuses on the following aspects:1. Analyzing new requirements to FOA supply chain management based on changes in customer demands;2. Demonstrates problems that exist in the supply chain of FOA and the necessity of correcting these problems;3. Putting forward improvement solutions for supplier management and logistics management. This study not only provides help on FOA management but also a reference for small and medium-sized export enterprises facing a new round of competitive pressures to improve their supply chain management.
