This Paper focused on the research of series problems faced by the Cross-culture Performance-management of Service Department of Company A.The Author comprehensively utilized the main-streamed theories for Cross-culture Management and Performance management, deeply researched different aspect of this department’s Cross-culture Performance-Management., including understanding of performance management, performance management mechanisms, performance appraisal system, and operation of performance appraisalFirstly, this paper thoroughly research and collected data by survey to determine the problems in cross-cultural performance management for the department, and found out following problems:understanding of cross-cultural performance management is lack of; performance management mechanism is not perfect; the performance appraisal system is unreasonable, as well as the implementation of the performance appraisal is fatigue and so on.To help solve these problems, the authors combined the theory of cross-cultural management and performance management to carry out in-depth analysis and discussion, point out that these problems faced by the departmenthave strong relationship with the differences between Chinese and American cultures.Based on these analyzes, the Author provided the cross-cultural performance management recommendations, advice that the department’s performance appraisal system should fully embody respect for the individual, be consistent with the values of the staff as far as possible, fully consider the staff’s continuing personal development, utilize thoroughly cross-culture of performance management to strengthen the corporate culture, to further enhance the employees of the department to realize a sense of belonging to the company. With the integration of Sino-US cultural, the Department can finally achieve the purpose of cross-cultural performance management.
