There are many researches on Chinese management, but there is no consistentdefinition on the question what the specific Chinese management model is because ofthe different research perspectives. On one hand, this paper does a statistic study onChinese management literatures, and tries to build the theory model of Chinesemanagement model. On the other hand, the study on Chinese management modeloffers a guideline to foreign multinational companies to adjust their managementconducts when doing business in China.Based on the view of new institutionalism theory, this paper builds a glacier fishingmodel to analysis the Chinese company’s management model which are influencedmost by Chinese civilization. Research samples are selected from the Chinesemanagement literatures which are published from the year1991to2011. We usecontent analysis method to study on the Chinese institution environment literatures aswell as Chinese management model literatures, and plus with the pareto analysis, wesummarize the Chinese institution environment and the Chinese management model.According to the results, we describe the three layers of the Chinese institutionenvironment and the four dimensions of the Chinese company’s management model.Finally, this paper does a case study on Haier group, which is a great Chinesecompany with good reputation on its Chinese management model.One of the creative points of this research is the study perspective of newinstitutionalism theory. At the same time, this paper develops a new Chinesemanagement analysis model called “glacier fishing model”, which is a creative model.Finally, using statistic analysis method in doing literature research on Chinesemanagement model is another creative point.
