With the development of economic globalization have posed the unprecedentedchallenges to the petroleum engineering construction industry, and make tremendouspressure on the modern engineering management of A Design Institute. ERP system isthe product of the combination of the advanced management concepts andinformation technology.it is a state-of-the-art business management tools, will helpthe enterprises to improve their competitiveness in the market. ERP system on-line ishoped to change the status quo of the scattered separatist information management inthe previous enterprise management and project management of A Design Institute,and enterprise resources and information can be unified in various rational integrationand configuration, make an operational, scientific analysis and decision-makingthrough an integrated management platform in the ERP system for businessmanagement of A design institute to increase the economic efficiencysubstantially.However, after the implementation of the ERP system in the A DesignInstitute, it is caused the revolution in information and management broke many ofthe traditional model of corporate governance, enhance and optimize the enterprisemanagement level, but the application effect and target are still some gaps afterrunning, The writer mainly from the application’s point of view in the ERPimplementation to analysis the reasons of these problems are proposed for the ADesign Institute, and make ERP system improvement programs and measures, and toimprove the implementation of safeguards, which are the focus of the writing’s thesis.This paper uses some theories of knowledge, combined with their own actualbusiness, the paper is divided into four chapters, starting from the brief introductionto business characteristics, organizational and management structure in the firstchapter, combined with the ERP system theory and the status of implementation to overview the ERP system running in A Design Institute. it is major issues of the ERPproject implementation from the five aspects of the business processes, informationmanagement, system functions, the intelligent system, operation and maintenancecapabilities were detailed analysis to identify gaps and reasons in Chapter Two. Thesesuccess factors in ERP systems, improvement goals, the implementation of therelevant departments and business processes, integration, functional design,development, operation and maintenance, improved programs and measures takenwere detail in Chapter Three. To ensure the implementation in the A Design Instituteof the ERP system smoothly, write some improvement programs from the aspects ofthe organization, system, security, funds raised specific safeguards of theimprovement process in Chapter four.There are many engineering construction companies use ERP systems at present,they also have many doubts about those problems in the implementation process, withthe expansion of the scope of the ERP system, there are a large number of designindustry will also introduce the ERP system, A Design Institute as a years of history,the state-owned engineering construction enterprise applications ERP systems, it is anrepresentative industry, A Design Institute issues those questions to analysis andresearch encountered during the implements. combined with the practical applicationof their own advanced improvement programs, and plan for its optimization andtargeted improvement measures and methods to resolve the doubts, want to be able togive a similar enterprise to provide some reference for other companies.
