Equipment is the material base of the completion of the production tasks ofmetallurgical enterprise. The important functions of the equipment management areensuring equipment in good technology condition always, providing necessaryability for production and satisfying the production management need at any time.Equipment maintenance management is one of the important linking of theequipment management. In order to adapt to the knowledge economy and theinformation age in modern large-scale steel enterprise equipment maintenancemanagement of the new requirements, scientific, rational, and appropriatemanagement of overhaul help to improve the stability of the system operationmetallurgical production and to improve the metallurgical the modern enterprisemanagement level and economic benefits.In the actual maintenance engineering,theproblems exist generally,such as the plan mixes disorderly, schedule lags behind,the quality laxes.How to optimize the management of overhaul, is a question shouldbe paid much attention.In this paper, the LinGang plate plant maintenancemanagement work of bilateral cut optimization is researched,and it plays a certainrole for plate plant in the project management in large maintenance level.In this paper firstly equipment management and maintenance managementrelated theory is described, and then based on the critical path method,5W1Hanalysis, the ESRC analysis, the ABC analysis and project management andindustrial engineering method, as LinGang plate plant bilateral cut maintenanceengineering for example, the technical management, progress management, costmanagement, quality management of overhaul process are analysed, and mainconclusions are as follows:(1) Using network planning technique, maintenance schedule is worked out,network project is optimized and construction progress of maintenance iseffectively controlled, then the construction period is shortened and the cost issaved.(2) The factors for influencing maintenance quality are analysed, the controlmeasures for guaranteeing maintenance quality are proposed and the flowsheet forcntrolling maintenance quality is worked out.These measures insure the processingof maintenance tasks.(3) Cost management is one of the cores of maintenance management. In orderto solve the problem of maintenance cost overrun, the cost control measures and cost control process are given.(4) The human, instruments, spare parts managements for the maintenance areoptimized, and the reasonable personnel allocation, the readying for the tools,supplying of spare parts timely and objective are realized.(5) The necessity of LinGang plate plant equipment management andmaintenance management structure optimization is verified further and thisimproving the equipment management and maintenance management work level ofplate plant.
