Study On Integrated Facilities Management Outsourcing Project

Service Outsourcing is helpful for company to reduce operation cost, improveservice quality and enhance company core competencies. According to division oflabor theories, service outsourcing is an effective way to utilize third party resources,to improve service quality and reduce cost and risks. Thus company can concentratelimited company resource into their core business, put more investment on coretechnology development, to ensure company core competency.Integrated facility management service outsourcing can be defined as a kind ofbusiness process outsourcing. It is not only about the facility and equipmentmaintenance, but also about employee services, EHS (environment, health and safety)management, Security management and other related services.This thesis summarizes the definition, classification, characteristic and advantageof service outsourcing, use5W-H and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to doanalysis on the entire progress of integrated facility management service outsourcingproject. Including why need outsourcing, what/when/where to do, how to do,outsourcing vendor selection, contract signing, outsourcing project transition process,as well as risk management on formal operation stage and service provider evaluationsystem etc. At the end, X company’s integrated facility management outsourcingproject is taken as a case study with positive results.
