As the market trend becomes increasingly globalized, all manufacturingcompanies are facing more intense and rapid changing market competition. In order toenhance the competitive forces and to survive all kinds of competitions within themarket, manufacturing companies must gain the fastest production speed, the bestproduct quality, the lowest production cost and the best after-sales service to meetvarious customers’ demand and sustainable social development. In order to obtain itsown sustainable development and improve the competitive forces, company must takelean production theory as a primary factor of its business strategy. K Company is oneof the largest suppliers of vacuum equipment in the world. K Company China,established in1997, has shown its rapid and steady growth in Asia market. However,the rapid growth has also raised a lot of production problems, such as insufficientproductivity, logistics flow stuck, poor product quality and various kinds of waste andso on, thus the company is eager to solve the above problems.This article is based on the lean production theory and company’s real operating situation andhas used many lean production tools:5S, Value flow, Just-in-time, kanban pull and cellmanufacturing to analyse the production and operating problems of K Company China and finallysolve the problems. At the same time, this article gives a thorough introduction of the wholeprocess of its implementation of the lean production, summarizes the achievement of K Companyand the challenges they’re facing, and finally proposes the solutions. Although we have madesome achievements, and got the company leaders recognized, but we need to constantly perfectlean production processes, and bring more economic benefit for our company. Finally, I hope thatthe research method and its application can help similar enterprises to improve the managementlevel and production efficiency.
