TPM, short of Total Productive Maintenance, has become a widespreadproduction management mode worldwide. Tianjin HuaXin Premium Threads ofOil Well Pipes Ltd, as a joint venture, centers mainly on processing thethreads of oil well pipes for HUNTING. Equipment is the guarantee, andsmooth equipment management is the basis. Our aims are to lower theEquipment failure rate, improve the Overall Equipment Effectiveness, andreduce the Quality accident.This thesis, by means of introducing HuaXin production management modeand statistics analysis, will anatomize TPM’s application into HuaXinCorporation. HuaXin Corporation consists of two production lines. One isCasing collar production line, which is not Assembly line, and the otheris Pipe production line. Both two production lines are based on shiftsystem, where Each shift is facilitated with an electrician and a benchworker. Threading machine, largely influencing the quality of threads,is vital to our corporation, therefore, requiring rather high accuracy.And hence, the yield of threading machine largely determines the pace ofproduction. However, the two workers will be incapable of any catastrophicEquipment failure, while do nothing with no Equipment failure. This isone of the reasons why HuaXin Corporation Human Resource advocates themanagement system--Human of multi-hillocks.Compared with large enterprises, HuaXin Corporation possesses lessequipment, less staff, and relatively weak repair strength, but if thisproduction management mode becomes more flexible, performed more rapidly,it will be beneficial to the rapid implementation of TPM. Supreme leaderteams have been set up in TPM, forming a Pyramid mode, and each rangingfrom manager from staff performs one’s own functions. Eight pillarsupports the TPM’s implementation, and6S management is implemented morestandard, and housekeeping management will become more effective thanbefore. We will improve our equipment repair and maintenance system basedon placing order. And the cost of equipment repair parts and human resources is expected to be reduced. So we will sum up and analyze elementsrelated to device time and performance, and then manage it with propersolution so that Time rate and Performance rate can be improved.Via the implementation TPM, HuaXin Corporation has formulated seriesof regulations on TPM. During the management, Supervision and inspectionare conducted based on statistics and quantity, so that it can create manyinnovations. In this way, the management becomes more standard,production site apparently improved, equipment downtime significantlyreduced and responsibility more detailed. TPM is a promising managementmode, though performed complicatedly, once the enterprise sets up its mind,TPM will yield considerate benefits.
