Nowadays, there is increasing iferce competition in automotive industry, theOEMs have to continuously launch new car applications in order to adapt to themarket situation, the development period of projects become shotrer and shorter;OEMs request increasingly high requirements for tire1suppliers. How to makeeffective development and management of suppliers? To enhance thecompetitiveness of the company itself will become a hot topic in auto industry.This thesis is based on status ofBW Company which the author works for. Startinitially on the point of company’s actual Supplier Development Model/ProcessDevelopment, the author analyzed3aspects; include Supplier Sourcing Organization,Supplier Development Model/Nomination Process and Supplier Development, tofind the shortcomings duirng daily practice, and to provide the improvement scenairo.At the aspect of Supplier Development Evaluation System, the author appliesanalytic hierarchy method, to quantitatively analyze each index, to deifne the weightof it, to optimize it. At the same time, to veirfy the evaluation system of new supplierdevelopment by case study.The author analyzes the status of BW Company’s supplier management; putforward the concept of management of supplier performance groups, andoptimization of long-term cooperation with suppliers.
