Corporate performance has always been the focus in the field of financial management. Accompanied by the flourish of our financial market today, the international financial giants have entered China in pursuit of the big and virgin market. Domestic commercial banks have to bear the pressure of competition from them because of their advanced management technology and strong financial strength.Though competition and pressure give China’s commercial banks chances to develop and innovate themselves, but they still face many new problems and challenges.In order to get the market and the competitive advantage, domestic banks successively take performance management. Taking performance analysis is not just for a result of the performance, but also it is a method to evaluate whether our management style or the incentives method is using properly. Overall.the performance measure methods used in china’s commercial banks are not that suitable nowadays. We should contribute proper and professional method for commercial banks performance measurement in order to help the managers do right changes and put their new measures into practice. That also helps to achieve their target.In this paper, the theoretical analysis and empirical research method are used to investigate the statistics form the company reports in2010.This paper is composed of six chapters.Chapter one is an introduction which illustrates the research background, meanings, the structure of this paper, and research methods.Chapter two is a summation on relevant research. This part reviews the performance evaluation methods and the comprehensive evaluation methods in both domestic and foreign academia.Chapter three is the theory analysis. Firstly, this part explains the concept of performance, commercial banks performance, performance evaluation and commercial banks performance evaluation. Secondly, this part explains the necessity of performance evaluation and the inadequacy of the existing evaluation method.Chapter four is the contents, the model and the advantage of the three level index system of performance evaluation. The contents give us the index and the explanation in detail.Chapter five is the empirical examine. Firstly, taking factor analysis as a part of the comprehensive evaluation method, this part get the weight and score of each level index. Secondly, using Cluster analysis as another part of the comprehensive evaluation method, then can get a classification of the commercial banks of china. We can use these result to do analysis.Chapter six is some suggesting for using the comprehensive evaluation method this paper constructed.The main contribution of this paper is as follows:Firstly, this paper gives us a new style of the performance evaluation.Secondly, the comprehensive evaluation method gives managers more support when they try new management method.Thirdly, show outside investors the information about the Performance of commercial banks.Last but not the least, Provide the regulatory authorities with regulatory measures and related policies for the decision making. |
