A Research On Funeral Customs Of ’the Locals’and ’Guest People’ Living On The Dadu Riverside

There is such an Ethnic group on the’Tibet and Yi nationality corridor’and Dadu Riverside, who claiming to be’The locals’, and name Han residents living in the same geographical region as’guest people’According to the relevant materials’record and the locals’dictation,’The locals’ and’guest people’migrated to the local at different times. Culture of these two ethnic groups has keeping developing under the combined action of their own rules and external environment. As one of components of the regional culture, the funeral customs of the two ethnic groups invasive and interact under the combined action of their own characteristics and the external environment.Due to the relatively small population, regional block, changing social environment, it is limited of written records which is related to the two ethnic groups’ funeral in the extant literature. Therefore, it is particularly important to record, organize and study the funeral customs of the two ethnic groups through field investigation.After carding a main routine of funeral customs of the two ethnic groups, it is found that funeral customs of two ethnic groups have preserved their own ethnic cultural identity. Meanwhile, they showed consistence in multiple aspects, especially in utensils used in the funeral. Furthermore, funeral customs of the two ethnic groups have playing an important role in many aspects, such as, human emotional expression in common, clan, regional social network’s construction, and the Preservation of geographical society or historical facts, and so on.Funeral customs of the two ethnic groups development, evolution up to now, which although have occurred larger change in routines, utensils, etc, whose heritage of the ancient ceremony is still clearly visible. The Inheritance and variation appear under the function of funeral’s cultural inheritance and adaptability. By recording and analyzing of funeral of’local’and’guest people’, this article believe that it is really necessary to record, organize, research recording, organizing, periodic research by manifold means to completely preserve the two ethnic groups’ culture. This is a feasible way to avoid the phenomenon of lack of information, documents continuing to appear, and also is a necessary requirement of China’s multi-ethnic coexistence and cultural diversity.
