Recreational Agriculture (RA) is a new industry that combines both agriculture and tourism industry. It started to blossom in China from late1980s.It introduces a new approach towards the development of agricultural industry. It is also a new field for the development of the tourist industry. To develop RA has significant meanings to boost the new village construction, the sustainable agriculture development, and a harmonious society.With abundant agricultural tourism resources and the perfect combination with the natural landscape, cultural heritage of suburban, Nanjing has formed valuable agricultural tourism resources. Since the development of recreation agriculture in1990s, Nanjing has already been with some mature agricultural tourist attractions and is famous for strong participation、rich farming activities、abundant local characteristics. Along with the vigorous development towards agricultural structure, However, there are some issues that should not be neglected.Based on the current available Recreational Agriculture theories and achievements, this essay expatiates Nanjing Recreational Agriculture development through field study and evidence research; By using SWOT method, this essay makes relatively complete analysis towards the influential factors affecting Nanjing Recreational Agriculture. At the end this essay brings out solutions in order for Nanjing Recreational Agriculture development.
