Performance management, core of human resource management, is an important and effective tool to facilitate an organization to accomplish its strategic goals. A lot of research has been done on the theory of performance management by scholars inland and abroad. Nowadays most of the research is focused on exploration of definition, methodology and skills of performance management. Performance is largely defined as "outcomes+behavior" by theorists and entrepreneurs. Performance management is a management approach, which motivates employees to continually improve and achieve strategic goals of organization by establishing the strategy, breakdown of goal, performance appraisal and application of achievements into daily management activities of organization.In recent years, a large number of pharmaceutical companies have emerged in China. Due to the limitations of awareness, technology, tools and other aspects, many pharmaceutical companies think highly of the performance management. The performance evaluation system is still at a quite backward stage in Hunan DINUO Pharmaceutical Company Limited, which makes it’s performance management system lags obviously behind the business development and the market demand, and fails to encourage staff and improves work, not mention achieving the company strategic goal. This thesis, makes an investigation of the original performance management system and embarks from the performance evaluation’s elementary theory, to discover and analyze the problem of the company’s system which mainly exists in performance management and company strategic separation, and no scientific system in performance evaluation and even the balanced consistent between the staff and the company.With the knowledge of Human Resources Management, Principles of Management Science, Psychology, Organizational Behaviorist and other subjects, To solve these problems, The author reconstruct to the balanced scorecard. KPI oriented performance index appraisal system, optimizing performance management process, and improved design scientific and effective performance management system.This thesis is an empirical study to the original performance management system, which is based on the facts of the company, tries to identify the problems, and come up with resolutions.
