In recent years, Chinese railway speed raising and high-speed train development is in urgent need of advanced technical force and mature equipment suppliers as support. The technical level of domestic enterprises can not meet the demand of the railway leap forward development within a short period of time, so the Ministry of Railways has decided to implement the technology introduction and technical cooperation strategy, which for many foreign advanced railway equipment suppliers has created an opportunity to enter the Chinese market. Faiveley transport Group of France established a local rail brake company in China in such a time under the conditions.Faiveley rail brake company is jointly invested by Faiveley Transport Group of France and CNR Sifang Rolling Stock Research Institute Co., Ltd., mainly engaged in the field of rail transport braking system design and manufacture. Due to the particularity of the Chinese railway industry, and China-Europe cultural differences, Faiveley is not in a smooth development process from foundation, has experienced setbacks and failures. Under the competitive environment, how to effectively deal with the complex environment outside, establishing a clear direction of development and development enterprise strategies has practical significance on building a stable position and developing a broader Chinese market. On the basis of Faiveley company strategic analysis about how to respond to the opportunities and challenges, this paper aims on putting forward some ideas and suggestions about developing its own right growth strategy.This paper first describes the external environment of Faiveley, especially the industry environment, then analyzes the internal condition of the company, the problems and contradictions of the enterprises with the particularity of the Chinese railway market. On this basis, using the external factor evaluation matrix, the internal factor evaluation matrix, SWOT matrix analysis of the enterprises to analyze the opportunities and challenges faced by Faiveley, strengths and weaknesses in the existing resource capacity, summarize elements of the strategy. And according to the principle of combining theory and practice through the use of strategic management theory, using the method of combining qualitative analysis with quantitative analysis, made a more detailed analysis and discussion on the development strategy should be taken by Faiveley company. Combined with the actual situation from a strategic level, bring forward the integration strategy, the differentiation strategy, CNR customer focus strategy as the enterprise development strategy, and propose safeguards for the implementation of the strategy.
