Research On The International Competitiveness Of Wheat Processing Enterprises In China Based On Supply Chain Alliance

Wheat processing enterprises in china are numerous but small, and theircompetitiveness is relatively weak in the international market. After entering WTO, how topromote its international competitiveness has become the most urgent mission at present.Along with the development of the supply chain management, the cooperation relationshipbetween enterprises changed a lot, which was transformed from the horizontal integrationinto the vertical integration. In the late90s, it turned to a new mode of business cooperation-Supply Chain Alliance. Supply chain alliance, a competitive-cooperative organizational modebased on sharing complementary advantages and resources is changing the competitionpatterns in the whole world. It has offered a new mechanism and thinking for the wheatprocessing enterprises to step out of the dilemmas and make further development. Introducesthe supply chain alliance theory to the development of the wheat processing enterprises,realizing the promotion of the international competitiveness of wheat processing enterprisesbased on supply chain alliance, is not only the scholar’s innovation, but also the realityexperience which comes from the development of the wheat processing enterprises. It is theidea and way that conforms to the scientific theory’s request.Firstly, according to domestic and foreign literature, the author defines the issues onsupply chain alliance and international competitiveness of enterprises. Then it uses valuetheory, game theory, economies of scale theory and other correlation theories to have a furtherstudy about how the supply chain alliance impacts on the international competitiveness ofenterprises. By the combination of the theory and practice, it analyses the status of theinternational competitiveness of wheat processing enterprises based on supply chainalliance,and finds out many problems from it. Then the author analyses the supply chainalliance strategies of Cargill to sum up the experience of forming its internationalcompetitiveness. And then, the strategies are provided, which describe three aspects that arethe partner selection in the supply chain alliance, the game playing between the partners, andthe government’s industry support. At last, the author makes a brief summary to the research.Generally speaking, this thesis bases on the former research of supply chain alliancetheory and international competitiveness of enterprises theory. It strives to combine supplychain alliance theory and international competitiveness of enterprises theory, and introducesthem into the development of the wheat processing enterprises, according to the characteristics of wheat processing industry to discuss. In this paper, the author analyses and expounds thepartner selection and their game playing of supply chain alliance in the wheat processingenterprises. And the author puts forward the strategies about the promotion of theinternational competitiveness of wheat processing enterprises in China based on supply chainalliance, in order to give some inspiration to the wheat processing enterprises in our country,improve their survival ability and the competitive capacity in the international market, andpromote them to share more interests of the supply chain alliance. In addition, for the theorycircle, it can also provide some references to intensive studies of supply chain alliance andinternational competitiveness of enterprises.
