The agricultural science and technology workers’carreer commitment is a very important matter which is related to how we can promote our agricultural science and technology as well as agricultural modernization. It is a big issue we have to face when we talk about the big topic of "farmers, agriculture and rural development". Only after we have a good understanding about the agricultural science and technology workers’carreer commitment condition and the reasons why it is like that, we can actively implement the best policy to strengthen our agriculture science and technology employee team, and will make the correct and objective evaluation on current agricultural science and technology promotion system. Based on that, we shall further discuss how we can improve current system or make any innovation.This research mainly adopts questionnaire survey method, with which I did the empirical study on the loyalty of agricultural science and technology workers who are working in Hubei Province. This research is divided into six parts.Part Ⅰ, overlook a series of research achievements related to this study.Part Ⅱ, introduce the research design, that is, thesis foundations, research hypothesis, research thoughts and key concepts, research goal and significance, investigation cases as well as the specific research methods.Part Ⅲ, based on mobilization system, personal distribution system change and rural organization structure change, describe the change of agricultural science and technology workers’working arena.Part Ⅳ, Mainly describe the carreer commitment status of those agricultural science and technology workers. This research shows that, among those workers, nearly half of them are not loyal to their occupations after the reform called "raise more money to get more working achievements". They have various subjective motives or expectation to change their job. Even for those loyal workers who have no plan of changing jobs, their enthusiasm to their jobs is not high and their input not much, because their loyalty is not internal one but external.Part V, analyze the factors that influenced the agricultural science and technology workers’loyalty from structure and construction sides. It is found that without considering age and sex, other factors, such as education level, post, household economic condition, family support to the work, space to show their talent, training opportunity and worry about their endowment life, have significant influence on their carreer commitment. Part Ⅵ, On the basis of case study, draw the basic conclusion and, by using rational action theory, make the analysis from the point of sociology. Also I put forward some advice about how to build up a better agricultural science and technology worker team and win their higher loyalty.
