Labor Shortage Problem Reasearch For Wuxi New District

From year2004, seasonal and regional labor shortage appeared in Yangtze RiverDelta and Pearl River Delta, and spread throughout the entire country. The laborshortage exerts a tremendous influence on the economy development of our country.How to solve this problem, is now becoming a more and more important issue for thegovernments at all levels. Various circles of society are focusing on this problem andstarting to research on it. Although they had some important achievements, thereasons of the labor shortage are not uniformed. Some reasons are from the society,some are from the economy, but these reasons are not systemic and analytic. The labor shortage gives usimportant serious influence on economy,meanwhile, it demands us to upgrade ourindustry, to value talentedpeople, to improve the productivity quickly.To solve the problem of labor shortage in Wuxi New District, the governmentshould be on the correct position and fulfillits function at first, thenoptimize regionalindustrial structure through the macro control, and finally the government shouldimprove the employment environment, strengthen the training of the labor, protecttheir legitimate rights and interests.
