In January,2008, the State Council of China formally approved the" Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone Development Plan", Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone come into the rapid development track, and it also brings great opportunity for Guangxi Beibu Gulf port’s development. In the new development situation, Guangxi Beibu Gulf port carries more than ever the historical responsibility. Port comprehensive strength, will directly affect the economy development of the Southwest region, and even affect the cooperation between ASEAN. As an important link of the international and regional integrated logistics service chain, port logistics is the important constituent of the harbor area economic system. With the interaction of regional and city’s economy, it can improve the comprehensive strength of port and increase the competitive advantage of regional and city’s economy.Review domestic and international advanced ports, all attached great importance to the development and improvement of port logistics information system. Through developing the port logistics information system and improving the port logistics service level, give full play to the port as a land and sea transport logistics hub of the important role. Although Guangxi Beibu Gulf port logistics informationization got some development, but compared with developed port there is a wide gap. This article begins with the Guangxi Beibu Gulf port logistics information system construction present situation, existing problems and development needs, learns lessons from domestic and international relevant system’s success experience, and applies the technologies of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), Web Services (web-based, distributed modular components), SOA (Service-Oriented Architecture), ESB (Enterprise Service Bus), then constructs Guangxi Beibu Gulf port logistics infomation platform system structure and technical framework, finally gives the entirety proposal of Guangxi Beibu Gulf port logistics information platform.
