Study On Appraisal Of Coal Industry Transformation In Shanxi Province

The coal resource is non-renewable resource, so with the advancement of industrial process and the reduction of coal resource, coal resource based cities and regions are faced with a question that how to achieve sustainable development by successful industrial transformation. Under this background, the number of discussion and study about industry transformation is gradually increasing, the content of industry transformation study is continuously enriched, and the degree of industry transformation study is increasingly deepened. Many of the discussions and studies are about appraisal of industrial transformation. The coal industry transformation is a comprehensive and complex process, and the establishment of a comprehensive appraisal system is of great significance to real-time monitoring and objective appraisal of the transformation process, so it will help make the transformation progress faster and better. Some scholars have already carried out extensive and intensive researches on transformation of resource-based cities, transformation of resource-based economy, and transformation of resource-based enterprises, however, documents about appraisal of coal industry transformation based on the perspective of industry is still not too much. Combined with the reality of coal industry transformation in Shanxi Province, the thesis attempts to study appraisal of coal industry transformation from the view of industry.Theoretical basis of this thesis is theories of industrial economics, sustainable development and circular economy. Combined actual situation of the coal industry in Shanxi Province, grounded on theoretical basis and design ideas of domestic and international appraisal index system, this thesis builds a three level appraisal index system, including indexes in two aspects of economic and non-economic. Then the Entropy Method is chosen for data process and calculation after comparison of several frequent used statistical analysis methods at present. After collect data of all indicators in the "tenth five-year" and "eleventh five-year", calculate and appraise the coal industry transformation in Shanxi Province during the ten years, including comprehensive appraisal, monomial appraisal of economic and non-economic aspects, harmonious appraisal of the two aspects, and comparison appraisal of transformation during the "tenth five-year" and the "eleventh five-year". Finally, based on the data analysis, this thesis puts forward several suggestions about how to promote coal industry transformation in Shanxi Province from three levels of government, industry and enterprise. This thesis is an exploration on the topic of how to appraise coal industry transformation on the industrial perspective.
