The Research On Freight Structure Of Beijing Railway Bureau To Modern Logistic System

Railway freight is lack of competitiveness and motive for inner reform in the long-term planned economy. There are a series of problem underneath it, including slow speed, inflexibility, cargo damage and failure to meet diversity of requirement from customers. With the development of national economy and railway industry, the main task at present for railway industry is to enhance transport capacity of railway system by utilizing modern logistics’theory and by integrating the supply chain.Railway is currently one of the most used way to transport goods, which plays an important role in national revolution and development. In order to consolidate the position of railway in national economy and improve its role in supporting the development of area economy, we need to carry out modern logistic. Modern logistic will provide a great chance for the development of Beijing Railway Bureau.Based on the current situation of Beijing Railway Bureau, the author has analyzed the purpose and significance of the transformation from traditional railway system to modern logistics, as well as modern logistics system of railway freight. The author has also done a thorough research on the logistics development policies, the overview of regional economy, as well as the transportation tendency of railway freight. This thesis covers the following aspects:the analysis of the necessity for the transformation of Beijing Railway cargo transportation to modern logistics, the research of internal and external strategic, the analysis of opportunities and difficulties, the overall strategy and guidelines of the logistics development. From the management mode and the operation mode of modern logistics, the author has compared and analyzed the current production organization structure and process of the Beijing Railway Bureau, and has proposed a modern freight system structure, as well as the process optimization plan. Based on the case of freight yard reformed by Beijing Railway Bureau, the author has done a profound research, and proved the success of improving competiveness in the transport market by logistics transformation, and provides a reference for potential development for cargo transportation in Beijing Railway Bureau.
