Analysis Of The Regional Logistics’Role On Regional Economic Development In Less Developed Areas

As an important part of the tertiary service industry, the industry of logistics becomes more and more important in the development of economy. It is helpful to make sure the position of the Logistics industry in the economic development by analyzing the role of the regional logistics in the development of regional economy. Especially for the less developed regions, the study on the effect of the regional logistics in the development of regional economy has great significance in clearing the relationship between regional logistics and regional economic development theoretically and promoting economic development in the less developed regions.Gansu Province is located in the geographic center of China’s position, its strategic position is seriously essential. Gansu is facing unprecedented opportunities for development, as the gradual implementation of various policy measures with "The Office of the State Council’s several advices on supporting economic and social development furtherly in Gansu”、the State Council’s "12th Five-Year Plan" and the third round of the "Great Western Development" strategy.Firstly, this paper summarizes related research on the role of the regional logistics in the development of regional economy; secondly, this paper makes the analysis of the regional logistics’role in the development of regional economy theoretically, while analyzing the regional economic impact on the regional logistics and dialectical relationship between them; thirdly, using Gansu Province to represent the less developed regions and using the method of Econometrics, this paper makes the Granger causality test between the freight volume representing the index of the degree of regional logistics’development and the GDP、 the output value of primary industry、 the output value of secondary industry、 the output value of tertiary industry represent the index of the degree of the regional economic development; fourthly, this paper establishes the models of Logistic between the freight volume and GDP, the output value of primary industry, the output value of secondary industry, the output value of tertiary industry, and makes the marginal analysis, elasticity analysis and the inflection point analysis of the models; finally this paper puts forward the policy recommendations to the development of logistics and economy in Gansu province on the basis of the conclusions in the paper.
