A Study On The Relationship Between The Regional Logistics And Regional Economy Growth

The huge contribution of logistics to economic development makesthe relation of regional logistics and regional economy growth becomea new topic in regional economy theory. How to define which factorspromote regional economic development seems to be particularlyimportant, which purpose is to announce to public the developmentforeground of the logistics industry and the potential of theeconomic growth in the future. Using panel root test and panelcointegration, this paper examines the impact of regional logisticson economics growth in Zhejiang Province. There is the evidence of acointegrating between regional economics growth and regionallogistics among the sample provinces, whose data are from 1991 to2006 across 68 county and city of Zhejiang provinces. The dataindicate that regional logistics boosts economics growth. Both theincrease of the logistics infrastructure and simple logistics amountcan't bring about bigger influence on economic growth; we shouldimprove the quality of logistics service, realize information-basedand modernization, flourish commodity market to support economicgrowth.
