In recent years, auto market of China keeps the rapid development and has become theone with largest auto demand. At the same time, auto market of China is graduallyrecognized by the international market. But the rapid increase of raw materials and artificialcost brings the new challenges for automobile development of China. In view of the changeof market environment full of opportunities and challenges, the performance evaluation toautomobile industry of China using scientific and effective method to know about the wholeperformance status of Chinese automobile industry can provide the evidence to superviseand regulate the auto industry for the government supervision department. At the same time,the performance evaluation can strengthen the performance management to auto industryand keep automobile industry steady development. The performance evaluation to a singleauto enterprise can help to makes the corresponding measures to improve its presentperformance and provides the evidence to deal with the opportunities and challenges inglobal market.In this paper, we select twenty one automobile companies as the decision making unitsand select Yutong group in ZhengZhou as evaluation objects rejecting some automobilemanufacturing enterprises in unusual financial situation and other abnormal condition of ST.We extract the performance evaluation index using principal component analysis method anddetermined the input index as operating cost, total assets and current liability and determinedthe output index as prime operating revenue, total profit, earnings per share and currentperiod inventory. On this basis, this paper uses DEA method to calculate and analyses theperformance of Yutong group, and sorts the performance evaluation scores of Chinese autoenterprise groups. The results show that the score of Yutong group is behind only inShangHai Volkswagen, GuangZhou Honda and faw-vw with97.02points.The performance evaluation index analysis between the Yutong group and GuangZhouHonda found that the product sales revenue and profit tax amount of Yutong group are muchlower than GuangZhou Honda in the output level, and its investment level is half ofGuangZhou Honda. Yutong group exists the uneconomic phenomenon of productionefficiency. The performance evaluation index analysis between the Yutong group and Shanghai Volkswagen group found that Yutong group’s sales and earnings per share areslightly higher than the Shanghai Volkswagen that shows the performance of Yutong group ismore stable, but growth is slightly lower than Shanghai Volkswagen. The total profit,primeoperating revenue,current liabilities,total assets and operating cost are far lower thanShanghai Volkswagen.Finally, based on the change of current and future Chinese automobile industry andsales market, this paper puts forward the improvement countermeasures for Yutong grouptaking examples from the advanced performance management methods of general motors inAmerica. The first scheme is to improve human resources operational efficiency. The first isto make scientific human resource planning according to the market demand, the enterprisestrategy and the actual need of the production and business operation. The second is toconfigurate human resource rationally according to the needs and jobs of variousdepartments to coordinate human resources investment. The third is to improve the qualityand skill of staff through some targeted training. The fourth method is to strengthenincentives to improve employee human resources operational efficiency. The fifth is tostrengthen enterprise culture construction. The sixth is to improve the recruitmentmechanism according to market. The seventh is to reform the fixed human resourcesmanagement mode. The second scheme is to reduce costs and improve resource utilizationand output. The first is to reduce suppliers. The second is to accompany with the suppliers toreduce cost commonly not only thinking about the own interests. The third is to improve theefficiency of the logistics. The fourth is to realize the enterprise comprehensive informationconstruction.
