Nowadays the competition among modern enterprises has gradually become the competition of talents and resources. Performance management, as an important way to encourage, develop and abstract employee, has been widely accepted and applied by Chinese enterprises. However, there still exists a series of problems in performance management as to limited understanding, imperfect and immature system. Facing the severe competitive market, how to build a scientific employee’s performance management system has become an urgent question which needs to be solved.In this paper, we studied the SY Group’s performance management system through the investigation and analysis of the status. Then we used a combination of theoretical analysis and empirical analysis to explore the optimal mode of SY Group’s performance management system. And we design SY Group’s performance management system, and design the KPI indicators in the performance management system. In the first part, we introduced the research background and significance of this topic, and research ideas and frameworks. Then, we introduced the definition of performance management, and analyzed the three methods of performance management. And then we introduced The SY Group’s organizational structure, analyzed the existing problems of performance management. We targeted pointed out that the root cause of these problems. Then, from the three aspects of the objectives, methods and tools, planned SY Group performance management system design system framework and targeted design the most suitable SY Group’s performance KPI targets, including enterprise-level KPI, the departmental KPI, staff-level KPI. Finally, the implementation of performance management process is described, and then to analyze possible problems in the implementation of performance management.
