The Research On Supplier Evaluation And Selection Based On Epc Project Procurement Risk

EPC contracting model is a very widely used construction project model in the current international market,China is making great efforts to advocate this project constructing model。In recent years,many big domestic construction corporations gradually influx international market, participate in the construction of the international project, and play an increasingly important role in the stage of the international construction market. However, we also clearly see that there is still a large gap between our contractor’s turnover and the international large contractor’s turnover, the gap caused by many reasons, one of the reason is the control level of EPC project procurement risk,so it is necessary to study the EPC project procurement risk.Firstly, this paper introduces the research in details,pointing out that the research is significant,and also makes a literature review on the status of project procurement risk、 supplier collaborative relationship、supplier evaluation and selection index system.Secondly,this paper describes the relationship among engineering、procurement and construction in the EPC model,and point out that the procurement is the core area of EPC project,and specifically introduce its characteristics and importance.On the other hand,this paper expound detailedly the procurement risk on the basis of EPC model. Compare the importance of procurement with the procurement risks, it requset to find a practical way to reduce procurement risk.Then, this paper proposes to build a strategic partnership between the contractor and the supplier to reduce the risk of the project procurement quality, it indirectly reduces procurement risk. The establishment of the partnership bases on the evaluation and selection of supplier, therefore there need to build a supplier evaluation and selection index system.Shortly thereafter,the evaluation model can only exist with appropriate evaluation method.so this paper discusses the currently commonly used evaluation methods, and pointes out their insufficient,which leads to the evaluation method based on the analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation approach.Finally, it proves that the research result will benefit to the supplier selectin and evaluation of EPC project supplier as reference.
