With the rise of the knowledge economy, Knowledge has become the key to productive forces, competitive power and economic growth, and how to motivate knowledge workers has drawn people’s more and more attention. However, since the character of knowledge workers is different from other non-knowledge workers’, the motivation of knowledge workers is also different from others’. It has become a more important topic for superiors and human resource managers in businesses how to design the motivate mechanism of knowledge workers in order to mobilize their enthusiasm effectively.In recent years, Yinguang Company has pay more attention to knowledge workers’ motivation and has done some beneficial research and approach. However, there are still some practical issues that are worthy of studying and improving on this field. Thus, through on-site visits and questionnaire survey on knowledge workers of Yinguang Company and reviewing with motivation theory in management, the author focuses on analyzing the main motivation factors for knowledge workers in Yinguang Company, and explains the main problems and its causes in the motivating practice. Then specific measures targeted perfecting the knowledge workers motivation system are designed and the relevant safeguard mechanisms are proposed.The research result of this paper will not only can use for reference on the improvement of the knowledge workers motivation system in Yinguang company, but also provide a new way of thinking to enrich Human Resource Management practice for knowledge workers of other enterprises.
