The construction of a new socialist countryside is a significant strategicdeployment for the integrated development of countryside proposed by our politicalparty, which conforms to the development trend of the times and is based on thefundamental realities of our country, aiming to further solve the three issuesconcerning agriculture, countryside and farmers, narrow the gap between small townseffectively, and to lay a firm foundation for building a well-off society in an all-roundway and constructing the socialist harmonious society. Farmers is the main part of thecountryside, who determines the construction of a new socialist countryside. In thepast men were the key subjects of the countryside, while nowadays more and moreyoung labors in the countryside come into the city looking for jobs, with the rapiddevelopment of urbanization and continuous adjustment of agricultural and industrialstructure. Due to the young labors’ large transfer to the city and developed areas, theproportion of women in actual rural population has constantly increased, and theyhave become the main power in the construction of a new socialist countryside,shouldering significant responsibilities of sticking to home and constructing a newsocialist countryside. As a new subject community of countryside, women play anessential role in the construction of a new socialist countryside. However, owing tothe constraints of themselves and other factors, women in countryside still confrontsome barriers in the process of constructing a new socialist countryside, which have aserious influence on the role of women in the construction of new countryside, andhinder the development of the construction. How to solve these problems and furthergive full play to the subjective role of women in the construction, and how toencourage women to commit themselves to the construction of a new countrysidehave become a great issue faced with through the construction of a new socialistcountryside. This paper firstly gives a clear explanation of the significance of women’splaying a role in the construction of a new socialist countryside. Under thecircumstance of developing the construction of a new socialist countryside, womenhave gradually participated in the construction and played an important role, whichcan help them realize themselves and contribute to the construction of a new socialistcountryside.Part Two mainly examines the subjective role of women in the construction of anew socialist countryside. These factors greatlyprevent women from dedicating themselves to the construction of a new socialistcountryside.Part Four makes an attempt to provide some feasible suggestions for theproblems confronted with by women in the construction of a new socialist countryside,such as how to solve the barriers and encourage women to commit themselves to theconstruction, and how to give full play to the main role of women in the constructionprocess, which aim to change cultural ideas and public opinions, in order to ease theburden of women when they take part in the construction, reinforce theirself-awareness and increase their social status, offering them a firm foundation fortheir main roles. Furthermore, these suggestions help to provide a good socialenvironment for women’s participation in the construction by building a platform of policy and strengthening system security. What’s more, primary education should bemade universal and the training of skills should be intensified, which will furtherprovide intelligence support for women to play their main role. Finally, we shouldimprove and perfect Women’s Federations, and perform serving functions, offeringthem an organizational guarantee on playing a main role in the construction of a newsocialist countryside.
