As market competition continues to intensify, companies pay more attention to coretechnology development and sales channel development, new products introduction, frompilot build to mass production, more and more PC companies have chosen an OEM contractmanufacturing mode. Switching power supply as the critical PC components, many of theleading PC OEM manufacturers choose OEM. However, due to the complex structure ofpower supply, high reliability, rapid updates and immature introduction mechanism, manyNPI projects have not been completed on time. Many new products phase into massproduction, through the rate of non-compliance, quality problems constantly, even a potentialproduct quality risks caused by global call back etc. Such of those cases cause huge losses toOEM manufacturers and brands. Therefore, the study OEM mode switching power suppliesnew product introduction process, quality management, will be useful to improve the OEMmanufacturers and brands efficiency and management level.Meanwhile it has sometheoretical research value and practical significance. Also it has some reference value toperfect supplier management system under OEM mode.This paper viewing from the manager of switch power supply introduction by usingquality management-related methods, combined with D customer switching power supply innew product introduction process of the practical problems, to carry out the following studies:The first chapter analyze the manufacturing industry OEM model and suppliermanagement at home and abroad, describe the research background, research significanceand main research contents;Chapter2analyzing the current status of new product introduction process and the problems of switching power supply and identify major factor impact on switch powersupply quality NPI stage;Chapter3base on the previous research of this paper, combines with D switching powersupply NPI current situation and existing problems, focus on the NPI process quality study ofD customer’s switching power supply. Mainly from the business process improvement,product and process risk identification and statistical process control these three areas, usingbusiness process improvement to optimize the NPI process; using process potential failuremode and effect analysis table it identify and improve the potential risk in products and NPIprocess; using statistical process control to monitor the process, identifying variations,looking for variation reasons and take continuous improvement actions;Chapter IV of the paper summarizes the research results, and analyses the improvementeffectiveness of the program, describes the current problems still exist and outlook the futurework.
