With the incremental marketing competition of water-cooled chiller, the newproduct R&D project is going to play a key role for the enterprises to responseswiftly to marketing and lead the water-cooled chiller industry. As a result, theproject management ability becomes critical for the continuous improvement andcore competitiveness of the enterprises. The project management maturity model(PM3), which plays as a tool to evaluate the ability of project management, ismore and more important for us to research and will help the enterprise toimprove project management level and marketing competitiveness.After the basic knowledge of project management is studied, this dissertationintroduces and compares five different kinds of popular project managementmaturity models, which lays the theoretical foundation to develop a unique model(WC2-PM3) for water cooled chiller industry of China. In order to reflect the realsituation, this model creates a new system of evaluation level the criteria for eachlevel. And then, WC2-PM3is tested in falling film product R&D project in Ycompany in nine basic aspects of project management so that the effectiveness ofthe new model can be verified and rectified. With the application of WC2-PM3,time management, which is later improved through IDEAL model, is the keyproblem of project management in Y company. Finally, WC2-PM2is re-appliedto another project for verifying its applicability and effectiveness, then theconclusion of this dissertation can be obtained. |
