Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) has been applied widely due to its high data rate transmission capability, high bandwidth efficiency and its robustness to multi-path delay. Here we applies OFDM to shortwave communication system, and mainly studies the synchronization algorithm and its implementation.With the research of OFDM and the related technologies, a wideband shortwave data transmission scheme is analyzed .Then, the synchronization method based on cyclic prefix and the training symbol method were simulated, with the analysis of performance and applicability. Finally, the synchronization method based on training symbol with the characteristic of the chaos sequence is raised in the scheme for wideband shortwave communication system.In the implementation part, with the analysis of the hardware platform based on float point DSP and FPGA, we first introduced the main chips, including Digital Down Conversion, Digital Up Conversion, DSP and FPGA, with emphasis on the interface implementation of FPGA to DSP and FPGA to AD. Then according to the requirement of wideband shortwave communication, the synchronization algorithm was realized on the platform. The experiment results show that the scheme well meets the requirements of wideband shortwave communication. |
