Research On Personalized Information Service Of University Library In Network Environment

With the rapid development of computer science and internet communication technology, the expansion of information makes information resources in disarray, and user differences in the use of information resources, which have exacerbated the contradiction between the user information needs and the disorder of information resources distribution. User information needs change makes the library information service also will change. Traditional information service model has been unable to meet the user’s individual information needs in the university library. University library take an important task to provide users with personalized information services to meet the information needs.This paper studied the research status about personalized information services at home and abroad, describing the basic characteristics of personalized information services and personalized information services of university library. On the basis, the paper investigated the network personalized information application status in East China university library website services, and analyzed the questionnaire about Hefei University of Technology library users. With these two surveys, the paper identified the personalized information service problems of university library under the network environment, and proposed solutions.The paper is divided into six parts:Chapter1introduced the purpose and significance of personalized information services research at home and abroad, and analyzed the personalized information services research status and methods.Chapter2, an overview of the connotation and basic characteristics of personalized information services, analyzed the personalized information services in university library with the network environment.Chapter3investigated personalized information services modules of the East China university library websites, and analyzed the shortcomings.Chapter4surveyed the information demand of web-based HFUT university library users, and analyzed the information needs of the university library under the network environment.Chapter5, according to the investigation and analysis of the information needs of East China university library and HFUT library users, pointed out the problems of the personalized information services in the university library network environment, as well as to address these issues Solutions.Chapter6is summary and outlook.In the study of the paper, literature analysis, comparative method, the web-based survey and case analysis are used.
