In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet technology, the network user demand for video on demand is also growing, P2P technology to solve the server bottleneck problem of C/S essentially, as a solution for multimedia on demand system. But the P2P system how to solve the user dynamic and on-demand users jump caused by the system unstable quality problem is still the focus of researchs. Henan Province Key Laboratory of information network in the province of Innovative Talents Project "Research on key technology of P2P video on demand service" to the above problems are studied in detail, and puts forward the corresponding solutions. Based on the background of project, the data transmission, content storage and playback control as the focus, to P2P VOD client playback system design and implementation.Firstly, this paper analyses the demand of the P2P VOD client playback system, gives the P2P VOD client playback function module, system mainly includes:the system control module, control module, video module, network transmission module, video read/module and parse module. Then, the function modules of the detailed design and implementation. Among them, the interface and playing module using WPF technology to realize; on the basis of analyzing the ASF file format, the video transmission module using Windows Socket communication technology, solve the video download and share issue; the file read/module using Windows core programming technology, solves the problem of video local storage; use the number of Packet for index entry Map achieve the play control module, to solve the control problem of video of the jump. Again, through multiple threads to run each function module, the system performance can be improved. Finally, this article on P2P VOD client design playback function and performance testing system, test results show that to achieve smooth video playback, user operation is simple; the video to jump control function is relatively stable and reliable.
