Reservoir Landscape Visualization System for the digitization and virtualization of the three-dimensional landscape in the reservoir area and the surrounding environment provides a forward-looking basis for the planning and development of the reservoir area.This article uses DirectX, Direct3D module combines MFC the reservoir landscape visual development, the initial planning of the reservoir area, the latter part of the management and maintenance and decision-making support.Mainly held as follows:(1) Describes and analyzes the research background and significance of the reservoir landscape visualization techniques. China’s water conservancy construction is almost saturated situation, the work more to be done is the maintenance and management of existing water conservancy projects. Digital earth, digital city, digital wave driven research and establish Reservoir visualization management system is very important.(2) To study the use of Direct3D from the underlying implementation of the landscape in the reservoir area of the three-dimensional visualization technology. A simple analysis of the C++language features and advantages of the development of three-dimensional system; brief introduction a Direct3D related to the basic concepts and key technologies, such as Direct3D rendering pipeline, a variety of coordinate transformations, textures and lighting.(3) Research and learning3DMax modeling software, a brief summary of its modeling features and processes, and use it to create the subsequent reservoir landscape visualization system the vast majority of three-dimensional model.(4) Under the guidance of object-oriented thinking and3D visualization method, design the landscape in the reservoir area of three-dimensional visualization system. Designed the model dynamically loaded modules, three-dimensional scene control module (interactive roaming), real water simulation module and three-dimensional analysis and calculating module.(5) Based on Direct3D and VC to achieve a three-dimensional visualization experiment system of the landscape in the reservoir area. Based on the existing data combined with field measurement data, using a combination of methods of three-dimensional model data and the original basic data to prepare the data in the experimental system testing and commissioning, system user-friendly, basic smooth running, received the expected results.
