The project is established according to the requirements of development leading group and technical group of Daqing Oilfield Company Limited. Based on new IT-technology, data and information about hydrocarbon reservoir development was classified into specialized database, specialized graph database and specialized documents. All the information could be searched visually. Data, graphs, documental information and the analytical results found could be showed with geographical information properties, vector graphs, Excel form, Pdf document and correlation curves. This information query system of comprehensive hydrocarbon reservoir information is a new system, which includes 5 parts and 21 catalogues on general field situation, water flooding, EOR, gas development and reservoir evaluation. This system is developed based on J2EE and MapXtream FOR JAVA with the optimization of development efficiency, quality and application life of software. The database, graph base and document base required by the system are established with the development of the system.A new method to visually search and list hydrocarbon reservoir information is established in this project. The query method combined geologic figures of oil fields with relevant data in database through the geographical informatioization of geologic development objectives. Geographic information, such as orientation search of geologic objectives in fields, combination of geologic objectives and their according data, application of specialized graphs, data search of geologic objectives, etc. are linked to field development database. Successful development of this system could be a model for the application of GIS system for oil field development and development information. The researching results could be widely used in management of oil field exploration and development, scientific research and production.
