By2020, Terrestrial analog TV signal will be gradually shutting down, supplanted by Terrestrial digit TV signal. With constant promotion of digitization, the high-power and tall model will be replaced by low-power and distributed model, which needs a large amount of transmitting stations.This brings new challenges to planning and construction management. The prediction of field strength is the most fundamental method in planning and construction management. It can provide a scientific and efficient technology for planning and construction of the radio and television Wireless Coverage by introducing Itu-R P.1546and GIS into the prediction of TV wireless field strength.The radio and television departments in china work with the software for predicting of field strength buying from abroad which have many limitations while increase work efficiency to a certain extent. This paper develops a prediction of radio and television wireless field strength system based on years of practical experience. The system has been an extensively accepted software of wireless coverage in The Henan administration of radio film and television.On the basis of years of technical experience on TV wireless coverage, through studying ITU-R P.1546deep, simplifying coverage calculation model and combining with the GIS technology, this paper develops a radio and television wireless field strength prediction application system on ITU-R P.1546by the second exploiting programming of Google Maps API platform. The thesis is focused on content as following:1. In-depth study of ITU-R P.1546. This paper emphatically analysed the key parts of technical and present a simple calculation model.2. Programming and control Google Map API. We improve GIS to meet the design of system by the second exploiting programming of parts of Google Maps API.3. The synthetic application of ITU-R P.1546and Google Maps API. The calculation and visualization of the coverage map can be done for both single and multiple radio and television station, and provide the corresponding coverage size and radii. The coverage map of different parameters for the same station can be distinguish by different colors. 4. Enabling the system by completing the design and test of the software code.The predication data can be more authoritative and scientific significance processed with ITU-R P.1546and the coverage map can be more accurate and ocular combing with Google Maps API platform. Both of them will provide the credible technical insurance for planning and construction management of radio and television wireless coverage. It is certified that THE PREDICTION OF FIELD STRENGTH research is of great realistic significance and broad development prospects.
