Electricity is the foundation of the national economy industry, and the leading industries in the development of national economy. In modern society, the level of the electric power industry has become an important symbol to reflect the development level of the national economy. The number of per capita consumption of electricity has also become an important indicator for measuring living standards of modern people. In the electric power industry, electricity material is an important pillar to guarantee its normal operation, so it is critical to strengthen the management of the electricity material. However, at present, the management of the electricity material in China is still mainly taken manually. For many types and huge quantity material, this way is tedious, inefficient, and not timely transmission of information, furthermore it is not conducive to the query, and easy to error seriously, which seriously affects the result of the electricity material management.Based on this, firstly, the paper analyzes the original workflow of the electricity material, and designs the management workflow for the electricity material department, which is based on two-dimensional bar code. This workflow not only keeps the advantages of the original process, but also can collect material information automatically by using handheld devices to scan bar code, and it also can assist in the completion of other works. Secondly, through studying on the QR code coding principle, especially the QR code error correction principle, the advantages and disadvantages of R-S Code and Q-LDPC Code, which are the widely used in QR Code, is analyzed from different aspects. The Error Correction algorithm of Q-LDPC Code is selected as the appropriate algorithm in this management system. Finally, this research designs an electricity material management system based on QR code technology, including system requirements analysis, business process analysis, data flow analysis, database design, function modules design, system architecture design, and network architecture design. And then part of the function of the designed system is realized by using the VS2010development tool and SQL2008database.Barcode technology can provide a great convenience to in and out of the warehouse, as well as take stock, which can improve the efficiency of the operating effectively. And real-time data transfer is conducive to the inventory information updated in time, Barcode technology is also a great help to inventory control of electricity material, which will facilitate development of management of electricity material towards high efficiency, information, intellectualize.
