LTE is one of the evolving technologies of the third generation mobile communication system, which defines both the TDD (Time Division Duplex) and FDD (Frequency Division Duplexing) mode, and the TD-LTE system is the following evolution of TD-SCDMA system standard. TD-LTE has been highly concerned by the Chinese government, operators and system equipment manufacturers. I believe in the near future, TD-LTE will carry out a large-scale commercial using in China.The performance and quality of mobile communication terminal plays a key role in the process of commercialization of TD-LTE technology. Because TD-LTE is a new communication technology standard, it has a lack in its technical maturity, the process of industrialization and commercial experience undoubtedly, so we require a lot of work especially terminal testing to ensure its commercial success. The development of high quality TD-LTE terminal RF conformance automatic test system will be able to promote the improvement of TD-LTE terminal testing techniques,and contribute to development of domestic instrument industry, especially the high-end communication instrument industry, which is also conducive to the TD-LTE industry development.In this paper, firstly1make an analysis of LTE technology, then according to3GPP TS36.521-1specification I focus on researching and analyzing the TD-LTE terminal RF conformance test projects, which including the transmitter characteristics test, receiver characteristics tests, performance requirements test and the test report of channel state information. And then I introduce the concept of automatic test system, according to the appendix A of3GPP TS36.508,1design and integration the TD-LTE terminal RF conformance test environment and choose the appropriate test instruments, finally I complete designing and implementing the automatic test system hardware system. Finally, according to the hardware system I make an analysis of the need of software system, and design the functional modules of the software system, including the user interface module, database management modules, test cases modules and driver modules of the instrument. Hardware and software system work together to complete TD-LTE terminal RF conformance detection, which can improve the accuracy and efficiency of the detection.
