LTE-Advanced is a new standard for the next generation of the evolution of mobile communication proposed by3GPP (Third Generation Partnership Project). It is proposed to ITU (International Telecommunication Union) for the IMT-Advanced (International Mobile Telecommunication Advanced) technical standard, which is called the4G technology. While there are several candidate standards in4G technology, LTE-Advanced is one of the most promising technology and some of its technology even exceed the minimum requirements of the4G.For more in-depth study of the LTE-Advanced system, a further understanding of its key technology is necessary. Therefore, this paper focused on further research and analysis of CoMP, which is one of the key technologies of LTE-Advanced system. With the increase of users’requirement, performance demand of the communication system is growing. Mutual inter-cell interference has become one of the most important factors that restrict the edge user performance, even devastate the system throughput. LTE-Advanced solved this problem by proposing CoMP technology. This technique can change the interference signal into useful signal, substantially eliminate the inter-cell interference problems and improve the performance of whole cell.This paper made an analysis of the CoMP overall architecture and mechanism, and then established the CoMP module on LTE-Advanced system level simulation platform based on it. The CoMP module included designation and realization of CoMP user and cooperative cell selection method, joint pre-coding method, CoMP scheduling algorithm and user data receiving scheme. Subsequently, the CoMP system-level simulation analysis was presented to prove that CoMP system plays a big role for the performance of edge users as well as the entire system. Moreover, a new CoMP dynamic resource allocation algorithm based on PF method was proposed and compared with traditional method. Simulation result showed that new algorithm is better than traditional algorithms and has advantages in throughput and fairness.
