On the purpose of dissemination and popularization of scientific knowledge, science and technology popularization is an important means to improve the scientific and cultural qualities of the National. Because it is interesting, vivid and intuitive in appearance,the science exhibition has become an essential way of science and technology popularization.With the rapid development of science and technology, integrated use of multimedia presentations means to make the science exhibition more effective and explore new trends in science exhibition has become a hot topic.In this article, the traditional multimedia presentation system is analyzed by literature analysis, comparison and other research methods.It turns out that in the traditional exhibition application the systems usually have single and fixed form.In the World Expo,the multimedia linkage system applied in the German and Japan Pavilions are successful examples. Based on these, the multimedia linkage system which is on the basis of interaction between man and machine, humans and machines is designed under the guidance of user-centered interaction design theory during the construction of the preface hall in the General hall of the Sensing China Windows. It will not only focus on the exhibition theme of the material presented, and will showcase the theme into the design of the exhibition items, so to get the full three-dimensional presentation.The multimedia linkage system consists of hardware interaction layer, software interaction layer and HCI layer. There are linkages between the layers of internal as well as the layers. In the hardware layer, the host machine sends commands to control the plurality of display devices. The software layer coordinates deductive logic of the process by socket, serial and flash communication protocols. The human-computer interaction layer achieves the interaction between exhibitions and visitors by the communication between flash programming language and the underlying control program. Through the realization of the multimedia linkage system, the feasibility of multimedia linkage system as well as the excellent exhibition effect, enriched and expanded display forms are very impressive. The advantages of the full three-dimensional interactive in. stimulating visitors’interests in the exhibition are patently obvious. In a word, it provides a demonstration for large multimedia linkage system to get a more general application in the field of popular science exhibition.
