As an important question of the battlefield study, electromagnetic environment study has existed for many years. Of all the aspects, the simulation speed is the bottle-neck of the simulation system. In order to speed up the simulation process, two methods are employed. One is cluster computing, dividing the project into small tasks to compute in each computing node.Another is optimizing the ray-tracing method to limit the operating time in each node. The main Tasks are described as following:1、Study and conclude the principle of the distributed computing. Discuss the similarities and differences of the different computing system. Conclude the MapReduce framework, and then introduce its working principle. Above all, summarize the key points that affect the performance of the distributed system.2、After analyzing the character of the system, a detailed scheme of the distributed system is proposed. Firstly, put forward the client side design scheme, including the structure of the file system. And then describe the detail of the server side design, including the principle of the task distribution and database design. At last, describe the communication procedure between the client side and the server side.3、Analyze the theory and algorithm of the ray-tracing method. Propose a kind of optimizing algorithm to better adapt this system. First of all, each module is discussed in detail. And then define some parts of the data structure. At last analyze the performance of the algorithm from time and space dimension. 4、Design test case for the system. The test consists of two parts:The first part is designed to test the performance of the ray-tracing method by comparing the execution time of the original method and the optimized method. The second part is designed to test the distributed system performance, including the relationship of the computing node quantity and the performance efficiency.
