CE Report And Regional Image Framing

Regional development is discussed for several times in the18thChinesegovernment’s report, and is put into new developing direction with new requirements.As a driving force for regional development, regional image is attached increasingimportance to and is studied more and more among scholars. Being intangible,regional image is an embodiment of regional soft power, and in order to make it work,regional image must be properly framed, spread and distinguished. Regional imageframing is in need of lots of joint efforts, the media with its tremendous strength intoday’s world included. Regional Identity System(RIS), deriving from CompanyIdentity System(CIS), consists in three aspects, that is Mind Identity System(MIS),Behavioral Identity System(BIS) and Visual Identity System(VIS). It has somepositive influences, though, it, to a great extent, is regarded as kind of resources to bemade use of and is somewhat passive. On the basis of RIS, and taking News Frameinto consideration, this study attempts to put forward a new tentative theory: RegionalIdentity Framing(RIF), putting media in an active position.CE is an emerging sunrise industry, and is developing well. As a good visitingcard and opening window to show regional image, it is put growing attention to, andis reported a lot by the media, which provides a good premise for CE report to frameregional image. Based on the analysis of the related theory, and how CE report framesregional image by taking Tianshan Net’s report on China-Eurasia Expo for example,this research furtherly puts forward some ways for CE reports to frame regional image,including a new tentative theory: Regional Identity Frame(RIF) with regard to CEreport’s framing regional image and improving the cooperative framing between themedia and the audience and among the media as well.
