With the rapid development of economy, modern logistics distribution is facing serious challenges. It helps achieve zero inventory, reduce logistics costs and enhance competitiveness for enterprises and simplifies procedures to facilitate the user to improve the quality of service. It also promote into logistics rational allocation of resources, improve the entire logistics system function for a whole logistics system. Cargo loading work is an integral part of the distribution process. A lot of loading are based on artificial loading practices at present. Frequent and heavy manual loading work is labor-intensive, physical exertion, inefficiency, delaying the operation of the cargo, hindering the development of the logistics industry.We can divide common goods into five categories:liquid items, gas items, bulk-goods, bagged items and box-type items classified in packaged form. Domestic and foreign scholars and corporate bodies had done some research on the automatic loading of liquid items, gas products, bulk-goods and bagged items. The automatic loading of liquid items, gas products, bulk-goods and bagged items has been developed more mature. However, most of the automatic box-type cargo loading research is only by manual loading operations with equipments, such as forklifts, cranes or with automatic palletizing robot palletizing cargo. did not realize the goods from the product release point to the trucks fully automated loading and did not realize the fully automated loading.How to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks of the manual loading operations? The answer is to realize the automation of cargo loading. This paper aims to design and develop a fully automated conveying and palletizing robot to realize the fully automated loading for the energy meter turnover boxes.Firstly, this paper introduces the background, purpose and significance of the automatic loading system for watt-hour meter turnover boxes. And then design the system according to the actual needs. The system consists of automatic loading system and parking assist system. The automatic loading system mainly consists of the transplanting platform, operating platform, loading machine and cars blocked. The transplanting platform docks energy meter from the established library conveyor line to the system. Operating platform achieves position adjustment of the truck and loading machine. The loading machine achieves energy meter handling and palletizing. Cars blocked achieve the position of the vehicle parking and truck docking. Parking assist system helps the driver of the truck to park. Secondly, the article carried out a detailed introduction to the design of the system hardware control systems, software monitoring system and reversing aid system. The hardware control system mainly consists of servo motion control system, hydraulic control system and control cabinet system. Software monitoring system is mainly system monitoring and control configuration interface based on MCGS. Parking assist system is designed with the reversing trajectory line display and the laser range voice prompts. Finally, the article system carried out a summary of debugging and experiment and a future outlook.After debugging and experimental, the automated loading for the energy meter turnover boxes meets design requirements, realizes the automation of cargo loading, changes the status of the original manual loading. This system can not only reduce the artificial loading staff labor intensity, physical exertion, inefficiency practical problems, but also to explore the automated loading of the box-type cargo.
