The coal transportation industry is a very important link in the chain of the entire coal industry. Coal transportation and marketing industry will combine the production, transportation and sales of the coal industry, with the development of the coal industry as well as several major coal provinces determined on Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia as the center of the coal transportation network spread throughout the country. The coal transportation industry is facing a more intense market competition.Nowadays,how to manage our own enterprise and real-time control our data reports,in which way can we monitor the marketing process, inventory status, capital flow by using information technology, this remains to be the top issue that the leaders should concern about.In this paper, we use UML standard modeling language to describe the design and process of implementation of Shenhua Group Corporation Limited’s coal transportation management system. This paper first describes the development background of system and characteristics of coal distribution industry. Secondly, based on needs investigation, we carry on an overview on system requirements. Using the UML use case analysis methods on system function, describing the non-functional requirements of system.Then the paper introduces the system structure and technology function structure, and describes some parts of system’s function by using the static model structure and the dynamic sequence diagram. We Use E_R chart to describe the system data model and the structure design of system database. Showing functionality and implement code of the system. At last, through the activity diagram, this paper describes the process to realizing the system function and summarizes the work.Thy system uses B/S architecture, together with technologies of Struts, Hibernate, spring, XML.Using MYSQL as database server, which realizes six functional modules: contract management, transport price and coal’s taking order management, management of coal’s transportation, management of report, financial management and system management. In contract management, the system realizes the input, management and query functions of purchase contract, sales contract and the contract of carriage. In transport price and coal’s taking order management, the system realizes adding, modifying, deleting of the freight as well as the issue, management of coal’s taking order management. In the management of coal’s transportation, the system realizes the functions of coal management of coal mine, coal yard, and port, planning management include as well. In report’s management, the system realizes query function of daily/monthly reports of coal’s in and out in coal yards; port reports; coal’s transport in the coal mine and freight reports in freight yard. In financial management, the system realizes functions of coal mine payment, settlement of sales accounts, unpaid of freight, freight settlement, the national railway fee settlement, incidental expenses settlement, subway fee settlement, service fee settlement, port’s incidental expenses settlement etc. In system management, it realizes user information management, user role management and user authority management, which provides an electronic platform for marketing management in Shenhua Group Corporation Limited. The realization of the marketing management system greatly improves the efficiency of enterprise’s management, which creates conditions for information acquisition, storage, processing, and transmission during company’s production and operating. The system also provides a strong technical means for enterprises to expand their scale of operation and control operating costs effectively.
