With the economic development and the improved level of industrialization, environmental issues get more and more attention from people. With increased urbanization, air pollution is more and more serious. All of these are threats to human health in the21st century. Recent years, our country has increased efforts to environmental improvement and more governance funding for environmental protection year by year, but the results are unsatisfactory. Therefore, it reaches a environmental protection principles:prevention first combining improvement. How to effectively monitor of the flue gas in Dongli district becomes a problem attaching great importance to the managers in Environmental Protection Bureau. To be able to measure pollutants real-timely, produce early automation warning processing during production process, it is necessary to construct an automated management system to meet the urgent needs of the Environmental Protection Agency in the flue gas monitoring.In this paper, we complete and design an online flue gas detection system in Dongli district Environmental Protection Bureau based on J2EE and SQL Server2005. First analyzes the system background of development and identifies the significance of development followed by a comparative analysis of the status quo at home and abroad in the field. Then we conduct an investigation of the system in order to do requirements acquisition and analysis according to the objectives. Finally, design the detailed design of the system, analyze the main functional blocks of the system and give details of its realization.Ultimately system accomplishes the information management of the power plant, and equipment run-time data acquisition. Provide the functions of data query and browsing, so the users can easily query real-time and past data. Besides this system realizes equipment automatically alarms and real-time alarm for abnormal data. It can only provide a variety of reports according to users’ need and do data backup and restoration to improve the security of the system data.The system combines data acquisition, real-time alarm and data report query in one to achieve full automation of whole process. It can works properly in the case of being unattended, so savs manpower and resources, greatly improves the accuracy of the EPA flue gas monitoring and provide great convenience to the EPA staff.
