The Construction Of Public Communication Space In The Network Environment

The concept of public communication space comes from the theory of public sphere,andthe most classic theory of public sphere was proposed by Habermas.Simply, the publiccommunication space is the platform of the public sphere,in which people keep theconversations going.Habermas considered that the operation mechanism of public sphere areequal communication, focusing on the secular, open dialogue.As the platform, publiccommunication space has its own prerequisite.The first Micro-Blog:Twitter was created by Williams in2006, Chinese netizen startusing the Micro-Blog since2007.Over just six years,Micro-Blog has developed from a smallmicrophone to a influential communicaition platform which society,media and governmentcannot be ignored. The reason why the Micro-Blog grow like this,is releated to its freshexpressions and dialogue mechanism.The Micro-Blog that combine release,delivery,receivingand feedback offers equal oppotunities for everyone to participate, this participation inspiresnetizen enthusiasm, wakes up their independent consciousness,and gives them more rights ofspeech.From the development of the Micro-Blog,we can notice that Micro-Blog shows a qualityof drowing public attention to the Social public events,promoting public opinionformation,and promoting dialogues between parties.The realistic social relations appear in theMicro-Blog,many real life impossible conversation can be conducted,thegovernment,companies,and social organizations use it for shaping brand image. Its stablefavorable mechanism attract a large number of rational people who want to take part in thesocial life.A group with a rational mind,a conversation platform with openness, fairness andimpartiality,from this angle,we can understand all above-mentioned facts.On the basis of Habermas’s public sphere theory and Shi Yaguang, Yuan Yi’s theory ofvirtual community, this article focuses on the public communication space and Micro-Blog.In chapter1and2,This text analyzes the present situation and the characters of bothpublic communication space and Micro-Blog.The first two chapters are the theoretical foundation for the rest,they also show the inevitability of the existence of the Micro-Blogpublic communication space.In chapter3,we discuss the possibility exists of Micro-Blog public communicationspace.Comebined with Micro-Blog public events,such as “Yihuang incident”,“Taking photosto save children beggars”, Fang Zhouzi’s anti-counterfeiting, this article analyse whether theMicro-Blogto have the basic characters of the public discourse space,then definecharacteristics of Micro-Blog public communication space.In this foundation,through the case description such as“7.23the Wenzhou train crash”，“Nanjing buttonwood event”and Yang Dacai issue,chapter4summarizes the three socialfunctions of Micro-Blog public communication space: recording Facts,providingopportunities of democratic participation and supervision by public opinions.At the end of thisarticle,it expound the challenges Micro-Blog’spublic communication space Facing.
